Transferring stock between branches

Use this to move stock from one branch to another within the same shop.

Creating a transfer

1. Go to Inventory → Stock transfers, click Create transfer.
2. Choose the From branch and To branch (they must be different).
3. Add the Items to transfer with their Quantity. Save — the transfer starts as Draft.

Shipping and receiving

1. Once the goods are packed and ready to go, click Ship — only available for Draft transfers. Confirming deducts stock from the source branch immediately, and the transfer moves to In transit.
2. When the goods arrive, the receiving branch clicks Receive — only available for In transit transfers. Confirming adds stock to the destination branch, and the transfer moves to Completed.

Note that between shipping and receiving, the quantity in transit temporarily doesn't appear in either branch's stock (already deducted from the source, not yet added to the destination) — which accurately reflects goods that are physically on the road.

Cancelling a transfer

Only Draft (not yet shipped) transfers can be cancelled. A transfer that's already shipped or completed cannot be cancelled.
