Viewing stock & making adjustments

Viewing stock

Go to the Inventory menu — the Stock by branch page lists each product variant with:

  • Quantity — the total stock recorded in the system.
  • Reserved — quantity tied up in orders/documents that haven't been completed yet (e.g. an in-progress purchase order or transfer).
  • Available — what can actually be sold (Quantity minus Reserved).

Filter by Branch, or search by product name/SKU.

Viewing stock history

Click a stock row to open its History — every quantity change, tagged by movement type: Sale, Purchase, Adjustment, Transfer out, Transfer in, Return, along with the change amount and the resulting balance.

Manually adjusting stock

Use this when a physical stock count doesn't match the system (damaged goods, shrinkage, data entry mistakes, ...).

  1. Click Adjust stock on the product/branch row you need to fix.
  2. Enter the New quantity — this is the absolute value after the adjustment (not a plus/minus delta) — and a Reason to record why there was a discrepancy.
  3. Confirm. The system calculates the difference automatically and logs it in the stock history under Adjustment.

To receive stock from a supplier or move stock between branches, use Purchase orders or Stock transfers instead of a manual adjustment, so the source of the stock change stays traceable.
